The Earth Hour is an event observed globally, where people will switch off power for an hour this year on March 29 from 8.30 p.m.- 9.30 p.m. in their local time zone. Durex, the condom brand, has released a special ad on this occasion to encourage people to reconnect with each other amidst a light-out. Its TurnOffToTurnOn campaign, features couples having breakfast, watching TV, shopping, taking a ride and sitting in a limo after the wedding but there is one thing common to all --- they all are hooked onto their gadgets instead of talking to each other.
The video plays the song 'I can't help myself' in the background and ends with couples turning off the electical gadgets as the world shuts down for the Earth Hour. And the tagline says '#TurnOffToTurnOn'. It has earned more than 60 lakh views already. Clearly, a clever commercial with a cause !
