A major earthquake has struck the Iran-Pakistan border, less than a week after a quake in Iran killed at least 37 people. The quake, measuring 7.38 on the Richter scale, struck the sparsely populated region. There have been no reports of injuries or damage to buildings so far, but the impact of the quake was felt far away in New Delhi, Dubai and Bahrain. People came out in panic once the quake started shaking buildings, fans, windows and doors. The quake originated at a depth of 15.2 km below the earth (nine miles).
Last week, a deadly 6.1 magnitude earthquake about 96 kilometers had struck the southeast of Bushehr, the site of Iran's reactor.
