Maruti Suzuki is recalling 1,03,311 cars -- Ertiga, Swift and DZire -- made between November 2013 and February, 2014 to replace their faulty fuel filler necks. It will impact 42,481 units of DZire, 47,237 units of Swift and 13,593 units of Ertiga. In the affected vehicles, there is a possibility of fuel smell or some fuel leakage, if the tank were filled up to the fuel cap, beyond the 'auto cutoff level'.
The new fuel filler necks are being dispatched to the dealer workshops. This recall is the company's biggets after its recall of about one lakh A-Stars in February 2010 to replace a faulty fuel pump part.
