Bajaj Auto has creator India's first quadricycle the RE60, which is a more stable and comfortable alternative to the autos on Indian roads. Though it looks like a small car, it expected to cost around Re. 2 lakh. Its weight, top speed and safety standards do not make it a car, but that does not stop top automakers from comparing it to a car and finding it more safe. The government is even creating a new category for the vehicle, to be launched soon.
The RE60 weighs 400 kilograms, which is half as much as a small car. The engine, running on petrol or CNG, goes up to 70 kmph.
