Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh, 65, passed away in Dubai last evening due to a massive heart attack. He was holidaying in Dubai, along with his wife and two daughters. His body will be brought home in Mumbai after completing the formalities in Dubai.
Farooq was most well-known for his films during the 1970s and 1980s. Some of his more popular roles were enacted in 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi', 'Chashme Baddoor', 'Kissi Se Na Kehna' and 'Noorie'. His last film was 'Club 60', which was released recently. Before that he was seen playing the role of Ranbir Kapoor's father in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
He acted in many TV serials and TV shows and performed on stage in famous dramatic productions, including the famous Tumhari Amrita. He also hosted the popular Zee TV show "Jeena issi ka naam hai" in which he had interviewed many Bollywood celebrities. RIP
