The world pays homage to Steve Jobs on his first death anniversary today. The man who shaped the contemporary consumer technology had died on October 5 last year. He had been battling a rare pancreatic cancer before his death.
In 1984, he chose the path less travelled by unveiling his revolutionary Macintosh PC. Defying the skeptics and naysayers, he redefined our work, entertainment and life. In the process, he helped change computers from a hobbyist's obsession to a necessity of life. More recently, he helped Apple become the most valuable company globally by launching the record-breaking series of iPods, iPads and iPhones.
