Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar has equalled Sunil Gavaskar's record of most first-class centuries by clocking an unbeaten 100 against Rest of India during Irani Cup. Tendulkar struck his 30th domestic hundred to add to the 51 Test centuries, which are considered in first-class count. Gavaskar had 81 first-class hundreds between 1971 -1997, including 34 in 125 Tests for India.
Tendulkar has also crossed 25,000 runs in first class cricket. Tendulkar's maiden first class hundred had also been scored on the same ground against Gujarat in December, 1988.
In international cricket, the iconic batsman has 100 hundreds, including 49 in ODIs, a format from which he retired before the home series against Pakistan recently.
