INDIA LIFT UNDER-19 CRICKET CUP
India have bagged the ICC Under-19 World Cup for the 3rd time in history with a six-wicket win over hosts Australia in Townsville. The skipper Unmukt Chand yet again showed his temperament with an unbeaten century.
It was a captain’s innings from Unmukt, from every point of view. The 19-year-old came into the final with scores of 31, 0, 4, 78 and 22 in the tournament but his dismissal in the 15th over – caught at extra cover while driving on the rise – gave Australia an opening.
