Foreign Minister SM Krishna's three-day visit to Pakistan begins today. Mr Krishna will hold talks with his counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad and is also expected to meet other Pakistan leaders.
Some agreements on a liberalized visa regime and cultural exchanges are expected to be signed during the talks. The Foreign Secretaries of the two countries, meanwhile, will meet today to set the agenda. Indian officials say that terrorism will form the core of the discussions, particularly the slow pace of the 26/11 trial.
Mutual confidence building measures (CBMs), release of prisoners as well as trade and border issues are also likely to figure on the agenda.
