The Supreme Courthas quashed the Rajasthan High court order on stayed Salamn Khan's conviction in the 1998 black buck case. It implies that Salman Khan will not able to travel abroad. The apex court has asked the High Court to reconsider the actor's application. Khan has been sentenced to 5 years in jail and is currently out on bail on charges of killing two Chinkara deer and a black buck during a film shoot in Rajasthan in 1998.
Salman had submitted to the court that he would face hardship if his conviction would not have been stayed by the high court as it adversely affected his right to travel abroad. In response, the state government had approached the apex court against the High Court order which paved the way for him to get a British visa. During the hearing, the court, however, had agreed that age was one of the important factors in life of an actor and it would be harsh if one is not allowed to go abroad till final verdict comes.
